More About This Tutor...

My style tends to range based on who I am trying to teach, and I suppose is most accurately labeled as adaptive. I understand that different people learn things in different ways, and so I try to accommodate that with my teaching. For instance if I found that a student learns better visually then I would attempt to use visual cues and examples in lesson plans to make the material as easy to understand as possible. I also believe in keeping a very loose and pleasant atmosphere, and making sure that everyone feels comfortable and safe, which I believe also assists in the learning process.
My first major mentoring/teaching experience occurred in college when I began leading study groups and eventually organizing tutoring sessions with a number of my fellow English, Calculus, and Physics students. A Little Bit About Me...

For the past 11 years I have been working with students in different challenging and responsible positions in education (such as: at Belen Jesuit Preparatory Schoolas as a Substitute Teacher, at After School Programs(ASP) as a Tutor, at Alexander Montessori School as a Teacher Assistant, and at Miami Dade County Public Schools as a After School Care/ Teacher Assistant/ Substitute Teacher). I learned different teaching skill. At the present time I am on my last year to earn my Bachelor degree in Education, in addition to that I am fluently in Spanish and American Sign Language. I have tutored students for the FCAT Math and English, and American Sign Language.
