I am able to relate to students using their learning style and references that connect them to the material for better success. I am patient and use my sense of humor to figure out how a student learns to get the best results. I do not believe that one method works for everybody. I have a lot of experience with students with learning challenges. I love it when a student says "Wow." I like to support and reward their path to understanding. It's best when you see that they are proud of themselves and they did it!
After graduating with a double major in Psychology and English with an emphasis in Literature, I started my graduate work in English and a teaching position as a high school English teacher. I took education certification courses and passed the state exam for the State of Florida for middle school and high school English.
