Law is one of my top subjects!

Because of law school, I teach mostly by asking questions. This enables students to feel proud of figuring things out on their own. Unlike my law school professors, however, I am sweet and nurturing.
I tutored students throughout law school in various subjects including, but not limited to, writing. Since opening my own legal writing, researching and editing business, I have assisted attorneys and lay people develop their own writing skills. I am a clasically trained actress who performed in several off Broadway shows in New York City. Although I majored in theatre performance, I excelled in creative writing, with an emphasis on poetry. In high school, I placed out of college English, enabling me to take nothing but creative writing classes. I am a grammar and punctuation nazi with excellent reading comprehension skills. I excel at testing. As an actress/attorney, I have become ... read more

"Patient well-experienced and eduated tutor."

Socaratic Method
My teaching experience is extensive and includes subjects such as: reading, history, geography, baseball, and fitness. I acquired a Bachelor's degree in Arts with a concentration in theatre and humanities from Barry University and graduated with honors. I also hold a juris doctorate degree from a well-known law school. I have taught several classes in Business law as well as International law. Teaching is a passion for me as I come from a long list of family teachers and it is innate in me. My grandmother retired as a grammar school teacher. She was liked by many students. As a young boy I often would visit her classroom and sit-in on some of her classes. At a very tender age I knew I wanted to be a teacher and even perhaps a professor at a university of great prestige. My mother also pursued a teaching career and taught grades 2 and high school students ... read more

My comments on tutoring Law : My Master's degree studies were in business law and after getting into business proved fruitful. My law experiences then came from my practical application of them. It is a wide variety of areas including, but not limited to, Corporate law, LLC law, Trust law, Liability law, and Contract law. Let's put it this way I edit the buy/sell agreements done by my lawyers.

I try to assess the skill level of the person or persons I am teaching first. Once that is done, I proceed at a pace I feel is appropriate. If I find it too fast I try to find out from the person(s) what is unclear to address that. If that means slowing down more I will. I do want questions if something is unclear.
I have wide and varied experience across many industries. I know the nuts and bolts of accounting and finance from the basic level to the very advanced level. I have strong computer skills and have used many types of software. Through being a business owner and also a manager at various companies I have coached and taught many people who have worked for me.

My comments on tutoring Law : I am a lawyer with almost 10 years of experience. I was also a TA in law school and taught two legal classes at Everest University

I have always enjoyed teaching others and sharing my knowledge with them. There is a certain feeling of satisfaction when I am able to reach an individual by explaining a concept to them. I feel comfortable teaching in most areas of education.
Throughout high school, I tutored my fellow peers in all areas of education. In my senior year, I ran the tutoring program as well as tutored others. In college, I volunteered with my sorority to tutor fellow classmates. In law school, I was a teacher's assistant, wherein I taught legal procedures to 30-40 students. Lastly, I taught two legal classes at Everest University, Torts and Legal Writing.

A Little Bit About Me...

I truly believe that teaching is an art and a multi-lateral discipline, one incorporating psychology, communication, anthropology, sociology, coaching, and marketing to name a few. Children need someone to believe in them and encourage them to be the best that they can be. Having been a student for over 20 years, I have learned what a great professor is made of and what a pupil really needs to succeed. Some of my biggest role models have been professors; now, it is my turn to be that enthusiastic beacon of academic triumph and achievement to this new generation. I feel that I can infuse a lot of respect for and joy into the adventure of learning.
Since I was in elementary school, I always had a passion for the English language and was determined to acquire an excellent command of this universal language. While in junior high, I won a county-wide competition in English ("the Ac ... read more

I love teachng everyday after work I healp my niece and nephew with their homework. My style of teaching is not to to give the answer but more to guide the students towards the right answer. I believe when they figure out the answer by themselves it helps them remember the answer because next time when they are confronted with that question they will remember the process of figuring out the answer.
I received a bachelors degree in International Business but I believe with french being my first language and also being a french advisor at my current employment I believe I could really help students with learning french.

More About This Tutor...

I enjoy tutoring one-on-one or in group settings. When I tutor individual students, I take a lot of time teaching the subject and answering questions. But I also like making students enjoy what they are learning. I can do that because I am patient yet fun. Because I am young, I am able to relate to students in a way that older, more strict teachers cannot. I am not just their tutor, but I am also their friend. The best questions are asked when a student feels comfortable with their tutor. I believe with focus, there can also be fun!
When I was in high school, I was in advanced math programs. At that time, my father was taking math at the local community college. I began tutoring him in math when I was seventeen. My father’s friend who was also taking the class was blind and he needed help with his math homework. No one at the community college could help him, so I spent ... read more
