I completed an English Bachelor’s degree, with three different areas of focus, Professional Writing, Creative Writing, and Composition. I am finishing a Master’s degree in Rhetoric and Composition. I am on temporary, as-needed employment at Pearson Education Services as a scorer. Finally, I tutored, assisted, and participated in the lives of my fellow students. Working with kids is my fascination. I believe that teaching children should not be standing up and lecturing or simply explaining something. Its about getting to know the students, making the students feel important and unique in their own special way and most importantly I believe a teacher should be a role model. The teacher must adjust his or her teaching approach to the way the student will learn what’s being taught to them not the other way around. Everything should be done in the interest of the children and their academic success. All students are different and they all have different learning styles. It is the teacher’s duty to find out what leaning style the student holds and target that teaching approach.
