Basic Learning Skills is one of my top subjects!

I prefer a hands-on approach when possible. I lik to help the children relate to what they are learning in order to help them remember it.
I was a straight A student throughout school. I am currently a high school senior, so the information is still fresh in my mind. Tutor for accounting/math and elementary students!

I have 5 years of real life accounting and finance experience. I was top of my class throughout high school and college. I enjoy working with kids/young adults. I find joy in helping them learn and understand new concepts. I did volunteer tutoring for two years at the local library helping kids in grades K-12 with a variety of different subjects. Although not related to the classroom, I've also coached girls volleyball for 4 years to a variety of teams with girls ages 10-16. My comments on tutoring Basic Learning Skills : I work in a Self-contained AU classroom and we work on the elementary level of phonics and math with the children.

I like to get on the child's level and teach that way. I like to ask the children what their best way is to learn and what are some of their favorite things are so I can incorporate them into the lesson.
I have been working with Elementary children for over 10 years now. I have helped all ages with homework, sports, and life skills (current job now as EC TA). I also have been coaching for the past five years in cheerleading and soccer, but in different age groups. I have been in the school system for the past year in a half and have worked on phonics, math, science, and life and social skills with AU students.

Engaging and educating the mind

I like to give the children more hands on material, to try and reach them at their respective level. For adults, I do help them, but try and guide them to figure it out on their own. I have found in my experience that it is better retained when the client thinks through it them selves.
I have worked with children between the ages of 4-10 tutoring in areas like math and spanish. Also, I have helped adults better understand logic course material more fluently at my school NC A&T State University. Held a refresher course for elementary children during summer camps i've worked at for their english. I also like to work with the client and figure out new ways to help them better understand.
