Academic Learning to Standards and Beyond!

In an effort to conjure mutual respect, I approach each student more like a peer rather than a teacher, although they know who is an charge. My "teaching style" changes depending on the needs of my students. In all cases, an initial assessment of both the academic level and the temperament of each student are necessary before I establish a particular style. Some students are comfortable with a quieter, more formal tutor, while others are successful with a more casual, animated tutor. In every situation, I look for opportunities to give positive reinforcement.
