I have overall 10 years of teaching experience. I came to United States to do my Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. As a graduate student, I worked as a TA for the Department of Chemistry. I was trained on an intense 4 week program focused on undergraduate teaching methods offered by the Teaching College of U of Nebraska. I taught various undergraduate courses (both laboratory and recitation) at the Department of Chemistry, UNL. Chemistry is one of my top subjects!

I received my Bachelor of Science from Western Washington University and my Master of Science from the University of Oregon, both in chemistry. After graduation, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a synthetic chemist before starting a PhD program. While I ultimately decided not to complete my doctorate, I did discover I had quite a passion for teaching chemistry. I was a senior scientist - engineer for 37 years. I retired to care for my comatose wife at home, and she died a few months later. This situation has left me open to new directions. I taught introductory zoology lab to freshman at Mississippi State University. Then I served in the Peace Corps where I taught daily 13 3 year olds to 15 year olds English, mathematics, and arts and crafts. I also taught basic library skills to all the elementary school classes.
