I have been working with children both in the classroom and out to excel their knowledge of mathematics. I have been a tutor, a teacher aide, and have student taught at the high school and elementary level. I have both experience in one on one tutoring as well as group (5+). Group tutoring is always been something that I like due to the other children helping each other out. In Physics especially tutoring, the approach that gives me best result so far is to directly engage the student in solving Physics problems. It is one thing to present the subject matter but it is a whole different thing to solve problems. Most students don't really understand the significance of the theory or law until they apply in solving physics problems especially those with relevance to real life situations. Since most of the theory were taught in school already, I kind of directly immerse the student to problem solving because that is where you will know whether the student understand the subject matter or not.
