I am an August 2009 graduate of the Adult Education/ESL program at the University of Alabama—Birmingham. I chose to study adult ESOL because I believed it would complement my undergraduate academic background in International Studies, and I have never been disappointed. A Little Bit About Me...

I am an active teacher, especially when allowed to create my own curriculum. I love to incorporate lectures with powerpoints, videos with discussions, and book readings with field trips. I think the best way to get young people involved in learning is to keep their minds thinking and never reach the point of predictability. The last thing people accuse me of is monotony or predictability, and it is this very quality that keeps then engaged and makes me a very likable and successful educator.
