My comments on tutoring Trigonometry : Trigonometry is the in-depth analysis of triangle ratios, and the unfortunately reality is that most curricula is awful. Every aspect of Trig has a visual representation, and we should use it! Let me help you make the connections by animating the unit circle, illustrating identities, graphing functions, and more!

I prefer personal and small group teaching, but I can also do online tutoring with Webex. I like to get to know my students and their goals. My comments on tutoring Trigonometry : I can help students with subjects such as using sine cosine and tangent, graphing trigonometric functions, the unit circle and reference angles, and trigonometric identities.

I have experience working with students who are advanced and seeking supplementary tutoring as well as with students who are having difficulty with a subject. I have tutored mathematics as well as chemistry, biology, physics, and other subjects. I have tutored students from a range of ages and I worked with my first student over four years ago while I was in college.
I try to work with students to find connections between different aspects of the material that we're working on as well as to find connections to other subjects. I find that by relating specific topics to broader perspectives on a subject as well as related subjects, the student can gain a greater appreciation for the coherence and importance of a particular subject area.

I always ask students which areas they would like to go over most importantly. My role as a tutor is help guide students through a problem while doing as little of the actual calculations as possible. I love to see the proverbial light come on and the students eyes widen and they say "OH! I get it!" I've tutored a wide variety of students from diverse backgrounds. I try to make mathematics fun, like a puzzle to be figured out, and remove the "hard chore" stigma which is generally hard pressed into a students mind by the time I arrive.
