A Little Bit About Me...

I have extensive knowledge in the Sciences with six years of biology classes behind me. I have also tutored fellow students in Biology and Chemistry while earning my bachelor's degree. From there, I taught Biology labs (General Zoology, Marine Vertebrates) while earning my master's degree. And now, I am a college Anatomy & Physiology professor.
I am a very laid back, easy going person. My teaching style typically incorporates both written and visual so there is something for all types of learners. The student has the answers, I merely guide or tweak those answers to get the correct expressions. There is always a way to explain a concept to get the underlying comprehension for everyone.

I currently hold a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, and I will have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood come May 2011. During my first degree, I tutored many kids at the Elementary level that was set up through the University. I absolutely enjoyed working with the younger kids. I have always been interested in science and using that science to benefit humanity. In college I pursued a bachelor degree in Biology and was president of molecular/mircobiology club and was an anatomy, organic chemistry, and physics tutor. As an undergraduate I was able to be involved in forensic DNA research. After graduating I entered medical school where I have pursued research interests in pediatric infectious diseases, and middle ear dysfunction. In medical school I tutored students in pathology and pharmacology. My passions are teaching and patient care.
I have a teaching style that is very adaptive to any individual. I am very patient and understanding that multiple approachs to grasp a subject may need to happen. I try to base all knowledge around concepts instead of rogue memorizing. I prefer 1:1 tutoring but have experience lecturing to large audiences.
