My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : Without comprehension, there is no way to apply what one learns through reading.

Very relaxed and encouraging. I use quite a bit of discussion, and I like to ask students questions that lead them down the path to help them discover the answers they seek. I have found that information is better retained if one can guide the student to the conclusion that they seek, building upon the knowledge that is already there. One of my favorite thing is watching stidents' faces when they have the "Aha!" Moments.
