I worked for 11 years in Virginia as a paraprofessional in the school system, originally doing strictly homebase work with handicapped children, then moving into the schools. I worked with middle school children faced with a wide range of disabilities and disorders, including ADHD, Downs, emotional issues and hearing impairments. I have worked with many of my classmates through my college years, helping them to prepare research papers and presentations at the same time as I was working on mine. A Little Bit About Me...

My parents were both educators and my daughter is a professor, so I can say in all honesty that education has been a most important aspect of my life. I have been very successful as a college instructor and a tax school teacher. I do not have any tutoring experience but with my love of education and my own work ethic I know I can be instrumental in a students academic success.
My teaching style is based on my belief that my purpose is that the student learn the material. If that means backtracking and presenting the material in a different manner or using more examples then that is what I will do.
