I have more than 20 years of teaching experience students in grades 7-12. I currently teach 10th grade English and work part-time with Han Academy. I have more than ten years experience teaching Advanced Placement Language and Composition, Advanced Placement Literature and Composition, ACT/SAT Prep, history, journalism, public speaking, and dramatic events. I thrive on teaching and student success.
I utilize elements of each of the five teaching styles; however, I prefer the I Do, We Do, You Do style of learning. I firmly believe in providing clear instruction and demonstration of each concept. I would say my teaching style is more relaxed. I believe this helps one see students weaknesses and strengths better. It also allows one to compare the overall effect of teaching for each student. When I see a student falling behind then thats when I take action and try top get them where they should be in that area.
My experience is one that has taken me many different places to meet many diffrent people. I have always had a gift of helping others and conveying to them my knowledge. I obtained my BA in English Communication from Talladega College and also i have a minor in History. I have had a great deal of expereince in writng papers, essays, articles ,and reports. During my time in college, I also tutored Spanish speaking students in the usuage of the English language.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently earned a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies and graduated Summa Cum Laude, which is the highest of academic honors. In order to obtain my degree, I was required to take several courses in a very broad area of study including writing, literature, reading, mathematics, history, and sciences. I have an extensive background in English courses, including knowledge of several research and writing styles. My tutoring experience mainly includes English and writing work, but I also have experience with tutoring some math classes and history.
In general, I simply love working with children. I find great happiness in knowing that I personally helped a child succeed academically.
