I enjoy working with students, especially middle school and high school, and seeing them have a "lightbulb moment". I not only believe that all students can learn, but that all students learn in various methods. My preferred teaching method is a combination of Constructivism (hands-on, inquiry-based learning) and Behaviorism (rewards and consequences); however, I strive to internally motivate my students, and I find that making work relevant and meaningful has the greatest effect on learning. All interactions with students should be positive (even consequences, not to be confused with "happy" or "non-confrontational"), understandable, and challenging for the student.
