I graduated in December 2014 from Iowa State University with a Civil Engineering degree- 3.5 GPA honor student. Before Iowa State I went to the University of Iowa for two years to play basketball. Prior to that I went to Des Moines Christian High School. I am currently working in Des Moines. I have a passion for teaching and have tutoring experience in college. Math and science are my strengths. I can help with about any math and science up to organic chemistry (I was pre-med my first few years of college). I first started tutoring in high school, both privately and as a volunteer. My favorite subjects to tutor were Algebra and Calculus, though I also tutored Spanish, English, and Biology. I had several regular students and additional students during peak times like finals week and AP season. In college, I continued this work in a more formal setting as a lab assistant, teaching assistant, and tutor for the Grinnell College Science Learning Center. The subjects included CHM 130: General Chemistry and CHM 210: Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry.
Tutoring is one of my favorite jobs.
