College Sophomore Level I am a graduate of Chowan University with a BA in Mathematics. While at Chowan I was one of the lead math tutors where I tutored college students in college algebra, intro to college algebra, applied calculus, and a few local high school students in geometry. Most of the time I worked with single students but I am also able to manage 2 or 3 at a time and/or groups of 2 or 3.

I would be glad to work with students of all ages, but I prefer to work with a student individually rather than work with students in a group. From both my experience of being an informal tutor and being tutored, I find that students general prefer this style of tutoring because the tutor can both focus and better access their student's strengths and weaknesses in the particular academic subject they are having difficulty with. I have informally tutored people of various age ranges in the subjects, physics and math , for a period that ranges over about three years . I have taught younger relatives as well as helped people informally on online tutoring message boards with math and physics problems. I have also been paid to assist students in how to operate the basic commands of computational mathematical software for three years as well.

I have always had a passion for teaching and helping to educate people. I have earned a BS in Business Administration and a MS in Accounting. Through my education and experience I have an extensive set of business and grammar skills. I have completed four years of Latin and enjoyed it. During high school I took AP History and Government and past the AP Exam. I enjoy studying for Test Prep and enjoy helping students achieve their goals. I have tutored students for many years and enjoy working with students. I want to help and make a difference in each student that I tutor. I like to reach out to all of my students. I learn each of my students name and have them see that I want them to well. I also feel that students should be given assignments to work on during class and not lectured the entire time.

I earned my BS in Mathematics and MA in Economics, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in both business and science.
