I love to use examples when I teach and I encourage the students to find their own mistakes. I think that once they can find their mistakes, they have a good grasp of the material. Through my experience with various different types of students, I have learned to adapt to their way of learning. Some may prefer practice while others may prefer hands on methods. I have been a math and physics tutor at Gateway Community College since 2008 and I have experience in various different styles of tutoring. All the students that I have tutored have seen at least 2 letter grade increase.
