I have worked with children since 1991. My concentration during my undergraduate studies was neuroendocrinology. However, after attaining my B.A. in Psychology, I loved working with children so much that I decided to work in the mental health field, serving children and adolescents. During the last 3 years, I have been tutoring students in grades K-5 in language arts and math. For the last year and a half, I have tutored students who were suspected of having special needs. I have the ability to “adjust quickly to change” and love to multi-task. From living in Mexico D.F. at the age of sixteen, attending graduate school in London and now living in Hawaii, I have gained experience in multi-cultural environments and thrive in challenging settings.

I use a constructivist teaching method and often use Socratic teaching as a means to have students thinking independently about their work.
