I use the Orton- Gilingham multi sensory approach.

I Have worked for the Davis County School district for 12 years. The last few years I have been working intervention for students who are not performing at grade level. I have learned that not all kids can learn the way they are taught in school. My 8 year old is dyslexic. I Have studied the Orton-Gilingham multisensory approach to reading and spelling. I have also learned to engage children in activities that are fun and creative. I will not be doing the same teaching style as there school.
ORTON-Gilingham multi sensory approach. Math without words until the concept is mastered. Using lots of manipulatives including video games, that teach concepts.

A Little Bit About Me...

Some pupils are very hardworking. They always do what they are asked to do.Some would bring dictionaries to school. So ,whenever , there are new vocabulary, they would refer to their dictionaries but the funniest thing is that these pupils do not know how to choose the best meanings to the words they found. They don't know whether it is a noun, adjective or verb. And some of them would take any meanings as long as there is a meaning to it. Within the course of my research, I have become acquainted with studies that have explored the language of journalism in general and the language of magazines in particular. Through skype so that the student can practice writing and speaking. I do this so that the students can feel more relaxed and so that no travel is required for lessons.
I'm 21 and have been speaking Portuguese (Brazilian) for my entire life because my family is from Brazil. I speak the dialect from Rio which is the dialect taught in schools there. I feel this is really helpful because both my English and Portuguese are really good and that helps when trying to explain certain aspects of the Portuguese language to native English speakers who are trying to learn.

The more you ask,the better you learn. So,Keep asking.(I love

Active learning is the most effective way to learn. This entails an ongoing dialogue between teacher and learner. For example, grammar rules are ABSORBED and not taught in an abstract way.At the end of each topic,a role play is implemented where the learner becomes the teacher, and vice versa as this is the best way for both the teacher and students to assess the level of the student's understanding.
more than 35 years of teaching experience in schools, language centers and academies throughout the Middle East. I am a language consultant in English and french where I designed curricula for various levels and trained teachers in linguistic methodology.Teaching is my lifetime passion. The teaching method should be tailored to the student's character, ability and the degree of assimilation. There is no standard method of teaching.

Give Real life experience a try

Experience throughout school, work and personal experience dealing with the mentally challenged and dyslexia. my best friend had a son who was dyslexic and also he had ADD and I got him to trust me in babysitting and I taught him various things. I taught him how to read and write he could not accomplish that on his own. He was 11 at the time and I think with kids you have to be creative to teach them and I am very creative. I also have an aunt who is mentally handicapped, and I love spending time with her she is a very giving person. They teach me and it is always a joy to work with them and give something back.
Hands on approaches mixed with worldly knowledge, and a very patient style.

A Little Bit About Me...

I want to help students question to find meaning in life. I want to help students learn which questions to ask so that their answers are founded in principle and not merely reactions against traditional authority or thought. The art of learning is a skilled art. The task of leading another to discovery is a weighty one. I take the time of my students seriously. I would not waste their time any more than I wish mine to be wasted. Passion drives my life and my teaching. I feel the literature. I feel language. I recognize the need to individualize the presentation to each student’s experiences and understandings if s/he is to discover the joy of learning.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a very interactive personality. I love to get kids involved in their subjects outside of the textbook. I have seen from years of experience that students do better when the can find real life applications of material in everyday life then just to finish an assignment. I am flexible and want to help children accomplish their learning objectives with excitement and desire to learn more.

I love teaching children and finding ways of making learning come alive for them. I am always looking for creative ways to help students connect with what they are learning. For example, as a summative project in our unit on circuit electricity, my students built small, electric go-karts. Additionally, I am firmly committed to establishing a strong foundation of academic knowledge for my students. I believe students need to be directly taught the academic skills necessary to be successful in life.

Teaching is something at which I feel I excel. I feel the best way to learn changes in each individual. Not just children, but adults as well. I seek out the best way for individuals to learn and go from there, whether that be through reading, interaction or visual stimuli. Anyone can learn, and achieve whatever they want, they just need to find the appropriate way to do it, and find the motivation to do so. I feel I can help any child do just that.
