Create/Implement lesson plans/student lEP's per state mandates SYETP(Summer Youth Employment Training Program)taught job readiness skills I worked as a Teaching Assistant with Intense Management needs program. Due to the student enrollment we actually had 1 certified teacher with 2 Teaching Assistants and one Teacher Aide. For the last 8 yrs while employed within the education field, I worked in this position.I was considered the teacher for 6-12 of the special needs students with both behavior and learning Disabilities. Writing lesson plans, grading and evaluating my students academics and ensuring they met NYS Education requirements for graduation with 5 of them getting a high school diploma the first year I taught as the teacher.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a practicing attorney in Albany, New York, and I plan to go back to school to obtain my Ph.D in Public Administration and Policy. In addition to my JD, I also possess a BA in both Political Science and Spanish. During the last nine years, I have tutored students in a number of subjects, including government, social studies, Spanish, English, and research and writing. Also, I have been a violinist for the past 20 years, and would be more than happy to provide lessons. Lastly, I am also currently a coach of a under-19 youth rugby team in the capital region.

I was trained well by the Literacy volunteers of America. I believe that my style is to help the student with repetition, while still making learning fun, via conversation and connecting the importance of what is being learned to every day life.
Practiced for years as an attorney for NYS. Semi-retired now. I have also been a tutor with the Literacy Volunteers of America (LVA) in Albany, NY. I met with a Korean graduate student at U. Albany and helped him learn English. I am also able to help in foreign language tutoring with German and French.
