I'm a chemistry student going to Northern Illinois University. I have completed the following college math classes- College Algebra, Statistics, Trigonometry, Calculus 1 and Calculus 2. I'm very proficient in calculus 1 and most of Algebra. Mathematically, I teach from a logical, or procedural approach. As students work their way up to Calculus and further, it is important to understand the process of problem-solving and not focus on the numbers alone. Many sciences can become abstract, I like to relate topics to things students may encounter everyday or already understand in order to get a foundation before complicating topics with smaller detail. I am very positive and try to push students as fast as they absorb the information. I feel it is hard to enjoy a subject if you do not understand it or see how it effects you.
