A Little Bit About Me...

I really enjoy working with children and have done so in many different capacities. I believe in learning through participation and repetition. I am laid back, but persistent.I feel that a child has to find their own style of learning and I am dedicated to helping them achieve that.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern Kentucky University in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. I am currently in my third semester at EKU pursuing my Masters in Public Administration. Through my coursework in my undergraduate and graduate programs I have gained skills in conducting research, writing all forms of papers, public speaking, and statistical analysis. While in law school I mentored and tutored first year law students along with students at a neighboring high school. I guided first year law students as to which supplemental books to buy, how to decipher a court's ruling and how to respond to a professor's question. I tutored the high school students in Algebra and Literature, all of which I took as an Advanced Placement student, along with studying skills. Further, during the past year I was a high school math tutor with a Kentucky tutoring company in which I tutored mostly Algebra. With that being said, I would welcome the opportunity to tutor students again.
