A Little Bit About Me...

Because I was a "non-tradional" student, one with my own children, I knew several things from the start: first and foremost, I will always treat students the way I wish my own children are treated by their teachers. In addtion, I have an understanding that not all children, nor adults, learn the same and need to be offered a variety of experiences. My teaching style is one of a facilitator. I attended Houghton College for 2 1/2 years. Then I went to NCCC and earned an AS, then transferred to Charter Oak State College. They took all the credits I had earned as a student at both schools, allowed me to define my degree, told me which additional credits I needed and granted my degree. I have homeschooled my children for 15 years. My oldest is 19 and going to RIT in the fall. He has an AS which he got the week he turned 18. I also have two teens whom I currently school.
