As a high school student, I excelled at my schoolwork. I was retained as a tutor for middle school students in math and science subjects. When I entered college, my major in engineering has required that I take a lot of upper level math and science courses. These rigorous courses have strengthened my math and science skills. I am very well versed from algebra all the way to Calculus two.
I love helping people. I feel that a student can always teach a student better than a teacher. I've worked as the VP of Internal Audit and Credit for a Federal Savings Bank, the Director of Finance for a National Bank, a Senior Financial Analyst, and the CFO/Controller for a smaller company. I am well versed in any financial or accounting matter than you may need help with.
I believe in using humor and matter of fact conversation style is the best way to teach. If you get someone interested in what you have to say then they will usually want to learn it and retain it almost effortlessly. That is the method I have used to train all of subordinates over the years and it has always worked out. Relate the lesson to something the student cares about.
