I believe that a student can learn any subject or topic that they put enough effort into. For some, it is difficult to put in effort into some topics because they think "Oh I'll never get this in a million years!" My focus on tutoring kids is to improve their self-esteem by breaking down examples into smaller pieces and walking through them in a step-by-step manner. I have enjoyed teaching tennis classes and do so mainly by explanation and examples. I show an example of the process completely through and then break down the process into parts, showing each part in slow motion and then once the pieces are grasped by the student, blend them back into one smooth motion.
