Private & Group Art Lessons in the Madison Area THIS Summer!

I am a recent grad from Stevens Point, starting my own private art teaching business. I have 7 years of professional experience, which includes gallery exhibits, juried shows and the sale of numerous works. I am most adept in oil painting, however I am also skilled in drawing (graphite, ink, charcoal, pastels) and 3 dimensional work (ceramic, metal, wood). I have been an aid for several workshops here in the Stevens Point Area.
I believe that homeschooling and private lessons allow kids and adults to learn and understand their subject matter quicker, more efficiently, and with close guidance. I love teaching children and being able to see them learn. It is awesome to see and hear when they finally "get it" or when they understand something that I taught them. Moreover, when a student gives you an answer to a question and uses an example of something that you taught them earlier, it really shows you how quickly they can pick things up. My teaching "style" is very open--I will have an outline and while I am presenting I will sometimes ask for examples from the students to help get us through the outline together. You can't speak AT them; you have to involve the students in what you are teaching them.
