History geek, Arabic student.

I can be formal, especially with younger students, but am accustomed to tutoring my peers in a relatively informal setting.
I graduated with honors with degrees in history and economics from the University of Texas at Austin. I am an obsessive student of history, specializing in the history of the British Empire in the 19th century, with a 70 page thesis on the subject that I am in the process of getting published. As an instructor, I taught two classes per long semester and one, intensive summer session. Educated professional - Alternative tutor

I worked in after school progrmas all through college and generally enjoy helping children study. I am very engaging, patient and relate well to any age child or young adult. I am not a proto-typical, traditional "tutor" in that I never studied education in a pedagogical sense, but I am highly educated and always made high grades in every level of school.
