Recently, I obtained my Master's Degree in the Art of Teaching Language Arts 7-12. I have worked as a substitute, Ohio Achievement Test Tutor, and summer school teacher for the past five years. As students are attempting to master content that is difficult, the teacher should demonstrate encouragement and patience. I also believe students learn in different manners. I received my BS degree with the intent of gaining a MA in teaching. While I was obtaining my MA, I performed as a substitute teacher in several school districts. I had access to 2 long-term teaching positions. The first was for high school special education in history and the second was for 8th grade language arts. I did teach 1 full year as an intervention specialist for a junior high. The first thing that I like to do as a teacher is tell my students why I chose my profession. I think a little insight as to who I am, lets my students know how passionate I am about my job. All students do not learn in the same ways, nor do they learn at the same paces.
