I have been an educator for almost 20 years. I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher and immediately fell in love with teaching children with special needs. Desiring to continue to teach, I finished a Master's degree which gave me the endorsements to teach K-12 children with special needs. Since then, I have taught reading and mathematics to both children with special needs and regular education children at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. My comments on tutoring Poetry : I have taught creative writing and poetry and am a published poet.

My instructional experience includes over 230 credit hours of composition and language arts instruction, including creative writing, literary analysis and Shakespeare. However, most of the instruction has been focused on composition. I developed a bachelor level English course for Pearson Education, working as a writer on a team of three; the course was deployed nationally at over 100 campuses.
Interactive! Students need to apply what they have learned, to reinforce the learning cycle.
