I am graduated from D. I. Mendeleev in Moscow, Russia. I have earned a MS in Electrical Engineering which enabled me to gain understanding in many areas of math and science. I am specialized in the area of Information Systems with extensive working experience since 1990. Few years ago I taught Network Operating Systems class at Strayer University and about a year ago I started tutoring Math in a Math lab for PGCC. I do not know what my teaching style is. I have instructed large groups and had one on one learning sessions as well. I have dominated the communication time and I have been a listener. I have out right provided examples and I have merely provided encouragement for a student to continue their thought process. I believe everyone learns differently and therefore it is important to be flexible. The main goal, after all, is not to see discover how great I am as a tutor; rather it is to see how much a student can gain and retain knowledge from a learning session.

Post-pubescent persons have a great capacity to learn abstract material; all that is necessary to open that potential is to motivate them. I do not specialize in that motivation. I do, however, excel at taking a puzzled student and explaining the difficult material in a way that makes sense to him or her. Mnemonic devices, simplifications, and advanced tools contribute to progress for any student of mine.
As a typically destitute college student, I chose to supplement my income with the knowledge I knew best.
