I rediscovered my joy for teaching in my Masters program achieving an M.A. in Theology and Popular Culture. I helped my friends build stronger research papers and better study habits. I have for the past two fall Semesters been teaching what I think are important skills for each person to acquire- reading, study and critical thinking skills. I think these skills help the student accomplish whatever goals they have set for themselves.
I enjoy the individuality of each student. One student may learn best visually, while another through kinesetics, each a valid learning style. I graduated from Mount Union College in 2006. After that, I became certified in the Berlitz method and also tutored foreigners working in the states. I also taught elementary Spanish at Woodridge. In college, I would help my friends with their studies.
I love teaching and helping others learn something new. I love the smile in a child's eyes when they figure out what they have learned.
