My comments on tutoring Grammar : - Graduated Magna Cum Laude in English with Departmental Honors and the departmental award for excellence in English from Shreveport College of Louisiana - Have been published and won awards for papers - Have experience teaching English at the university level, working in Hong Kong for a year.

I have worked in a number of positions that have required me to teach and train, whether that be as an instructor at a local radio station who was responsible for preparing DJs to broadcast or a tutor in Hong Kong who was responsible for developing the English skills of a number of non-native speakers at all levels. My experience is backed up by my certification to teach English as a second language and a track record as somebody who writes at a professional level.
I prefer one-on-one work with the students that stresses not simple correction or copy editing but legitimate comprehension on the part of my charges. My teaching style is comprehensive and rigorous and requires serious involvement and passion on the student's part. I do not hand-hold and I do not coddle but I am not uncaring: students learn best from experience, and that's something I can provide.

Grammar is one of my top subjects!

I have been teaching English Language Arts at the secondary and elementary levels, U. S. History, World History, for the past 5 years. I also held a position as a tutor in the Writing Center for my former alma mater. I am skilled at working one-on-one with students from all grade/age levels. Before launching my teaching career, I held positions in the heart and fitness field, in the retail clothing sector, and raised two children. I am experienced with the Common Core curriculum and understand the demands it puts on today's student. COLLEGE STUDENT WILLING TO GO THE EXTRA MILE

I have finished many of my math classes through high school with A's. I absolutely love writing stories and essays. The lowest grade I have receives on any writing assignment was a B. I have tutored many of times before and my students did extremely well. One student started with me with a grade of D in math and picked it up to an A.
I love to make things interesting. I struggled with science in middle school and required a tutor. This person didn't make learning the subject fun, so from there I decided that with everything students learn a little fun should be involved. As soon as the student becomes stressed, I do some kind of physical activity with them to make them feel better.

Child Psychology and Developmental Psychology is what I studied and will continue to study when I go for my Masters Degree. I have the capability to not only understand but fluently express any material. have done extensive research into tutoring and student-teacher bonds, an aspect I feel is important. I present the fact that the session is a time to learn yet enjoy. I always use my love for knowledge to improve the child's interest in learning - enhancing motivation. I supply the student with a notebook to be used for our sessions which seems to have increased the frequency the student works out of session.
