I have earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education, which has enabled me to teach kindergarten through 12th grade. I also obtained my master's degree in Literacy at UNM. I was a Reading Specialist for three years and love working with children and helping them with their reading skills. During college I worked for NMSU and CYFD providing two types of tutoring services. With NMSU I worked with fellow college students in classes that I previously passed, which mainly included Accounting and Math. With CYFD I worked with young mothers trying to obtaining their GED. I helped create good study habits and tutored them in all areas included in the GED; Social Studies, Math, Language Arts, and Science. While in college I took several communication classes which had presentations in front of 100 or more students. I took intermediate algebra along with statistics and business calculus.
