A Little Bit About Me...

My B.S. in Elementary Education has provided twenty-five years of teaching in a wide range of experiences. I have taught K3-8 grade students, including those considered “at-risk” due to emotional and behavioral difficulties or learning differences, in traditional and outdoor classroom settings. I was able to integrate numerous evaluation methods and projects, including construction of 3-D artistic replicas, and student written, directed and acted skits. In addition, I incorporated the Internet and other news sources to further current event discussion. The emphasis of my work has been on teaching critical and effective reading and writing skills in regards to all subjects. A thinking student is a student who understands.
