My formal teaching experience consists of weekly classes and workshops at Artful Journey, and over three years at ArtWorks Fine Art Studio. While there I taught traditional drawing and painting with a focus on teaching students to draw realistically. I guided all ages through color theory, design, drawing, painting, and printmaking. I also helped manage our studios, set up new curriculum for our summer workshops and developed and created working examples. A Little Bit About Me...

While I was attending college I worked in child care with a variety of ages preparing lessons for enrichment. I also taught as an adjunct professor for adult ESL at Aims Community College. After finishing my degree, I taught for five years at Wiggins Elementary in 2nd and 6th grade. I was trained in FAST reading program as well as many others for teaching reading and math. For the past two years, I have been living in the country of Macedonia as a US Peace Corps volunteer.
