My approach is to cater to my students. For example, if a student is very interested in comic books and I am tutoring them in Spanish, I would find Spanish comic books appropriate for their age group. When it comes to history I like to introduce my students to the importance of essay writing and how to write a good history essay as well as timelines and Historical Identifications. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught both college and AP High School for college credit in the areas of Humainties, Religious Studies and English composition at three different institutions. Though I do well in large classroom settings, I prefer more personalized instruction settings. I think I would make an excellent tutor in the areas of English Composition and Literature and World History on both the high school and college level, and would likely do quite well to tutor high school French.
My teaching style is friendly and approachable. I find putting a student at ease in the beginning allows them to open up to me in order for us to both find out how he or she learns best, especially since I feel learning styles vary for each individual and often differs for some subjects. For example, I may want to use pictures and art to explore history versus reading and lecture type presentations.
