A Little Bit About Me...

All people can learn, you just have to find a way to make the student understand the information, if its hands on or reading or a combination of both. Children need the tools and the direction and if you provide them both, the sky is the limit. I want to make a difference in a child's life.
I have been working with the public for over 20 years, in that time I have worked with young adults as well as mature adults. I have also done some substitute teaching in elementary and high school levels. My experience is in food service and have dealt with many walks of life. I am a very committed member of Lincoln Kiwanis International as well as a member of the Central United Methodist Church. While I was a student at the University of Missouri I received a 5 hour A in Chemistry.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Henderson State University with a BA degree in sociology and since then I have worked in residential treatment facilities as a therapist, a teacher, and tutor or councelor. I am currently a CASA volunteer in Fayetteville, assisting children who need advocacy in the court system. I have been a freelance writer here in Fayetteville for many years and have had much of my writing published. I feel that I have a strog set of unique skills to offer to this position and I would appreciate the opportunity to talk further about my qualifications.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate student, I taught beginning and intermediate German language classes for 4 semesters, receiving above average evaluations each semester. Even after I had completed my Masters program, I was asked by the Foreign Language Department to return for the summer semesters to teach as a lecturer. As a Microsoft Office Master Instructor I taught MS Office applications, as well as basic VBA programming and Project Management to adults of all experience levels.
