As a certified teacher I taught for 3 years in inner city Phoenix. I worked with diverse cultures needing strong literary support. A self written curriculum designed includes strong phonics, vocabulary, reading and grammar. 2 years experience as a tutor for the AZ Dept. of Ed. for Math and Language Arts for 8-12th . Math courses taught included lectured instruction & centered learning. Hands on experiments are vital to making a visual/ life connection. I love to work with children of all ages. It is the most rewarding job, watching the children grow and learn. I love being part of the learning process and the way children get so excited when they learn a new skill or master one they have been trying hard to achieve. i have never taught professionaly, but have assisted fellow students. the methods i useed to help them were ither to incorporate the subject matter into a sumject that they had a personal interest in, or manny time i found that they just didnot understand the language of the subject so i reexplained it in simpler terms and they got it just fine.
Even as a student i helped my fellow students to understand and grasp the subjects they were having difficulty with. i can generaly spinn the information into a subject matter that interests the individual or just explain it in an easier to understand manner, offted they just get lolst in the language of teaching. i minnored in math, and majorred in science and agriculture in high school, ansd took veternary technology in colledge this involved mostly biologies and lab technigues.

I am a recent graduate of SUNY Potsdam. I received my bachelors degree in physics, and minored in mathematics. I also hold two associate degrees, one in Liberal Arts and another in Math & Science. I also spent time as a math & physics tutor at Corning Community College's math learning center. During my time there, I tutored students from algebra to calculus, and in elementary physics.
