My career as a professional violinist has offered me many unique opportunities and experiences over the years. I find that teaching is one of the experiences I enjoy the most. I have been teaching violin lessons to children and adults for over 19 years, and continue to do so today. I began my career in Paris, France, where I lived for five years, and have maintained my fluent French language skills. I have a very strong background in creative writing in the English language as well; before beginning my career as a violinist, I won some minor writing awards and had the opportunity to work as an editor and proof-reader. I have been teaching in special education institutions for the past 13 years, working with children having physical, mental, emotional, and/or learning disabilities. My degree in music has provided me work in other areas of performing arts including dance, acting, and singing. I have also been assisting with reading and teaching math to elementary and middle school aged children.
