I am from South Korea and have been studying in America for 4 years. During 4 years, I was struggling to learn English and studying hard to follow my classes. As a result, I learned the efficient way of studying English(useful for people who are from other countries) and maintained A- grade during my high school. I taught Korean students who needed English help and American students who needed math help(especially for ACT math). I got 29 ACT overall score and 33 ACT math and 28 English ACT. Studying at St. Olaf College, I explored the joy of teaching. As a native Korean speaker, I taught American friends who are interested in Korean culture and Korean. During my sophomore year in high school I decided to begin tutoring ESL students. I found the ability to help others succeed very rewarding, and began tutoring fellow classmates in courses including but not limited to English, math, biology, and chemistry. These sometimes difficult subject always made sense to me and I enjoyed watching as the students I tutored were successful. I have in that time earned a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Florida State University. With this degree I have had extensive exposure and to and learned many different areas in the math and science fields. While earning this degree I volunteered in an after school program tutoring under-priveledged children in the Tallahassee area. A Little Bit About Me...

Although I have recently graduated with a degree in business, I am interested in pursuing a career involving people. My previous employment was a sales position that was very customer-oriented. I also have 3 years of experience helping children by teaching swimming lessons. Assisting my 15-year-old sister with her school work is also a regular activity.
