Facilitator Teaching Style: Students discuss with me about the basic understanding, concepts, and framework of essays and papers and then do one attempt. We then review and analyze each paragraph for grammar and general cohesiveness and make necessary improvements.
I am a senior at the University of Tennessee and am majoring in Architecture. Coming from a background of advanced English classes at Oak Ridge High school, writing and composition is my strong suit. I enjoy working with students. It seems that, in most cases, tutoring is essentially a confidence-builiding exercise. Yes, it's anout instructional leadership, but it's more about showing a student they can really achieve what they're setting out to do. I really enjoy showing students that they know the solution; it's just about learning how to properly express it. And if they don't know the solution, it's about properly learning it in order to express it.
