My tutoring strategies: -throughout my experiences, I realized that each person is different and require different teaching methods depending on the individual's preference -I prefer to use study skills that will benefit the individual; I have a variety of strategies depending on the subject as well. some individuals learn well using flashcards, while others prefer repetitive writing for memorization - I have had a couple of ADHD clients that prefer learning games and activities because it helps them stay active, but focused at the same time

I can relate best with the student/youth.

I attended Rufus King World IB High school in Milwaukee, Wi, one of the most prestigious inner city high schools in the country. I excelled in IB Geography, Chorus, and Theatre. My teaching style embraces a strength based approach. I start with what my students already know and build from there. I find that positive reinforcement of previously acquired skills encourages further learning. I also use creative everyday examples to help students understand topics better. For example, to help a child enhance their reading and math skills I’ll use a cooking activity.
