After having been a stay at home mother for many years I decided to go back to school and get a degree in education. I wanted to be able to teach children and use my knowledge and experience to help further their education and life skills. Although I did graduate with a degree in Language Arts I have not been able to gain employment in a school setting. I try to make the subjects fun for them. For example i bring out cubes, candy, or fruits for math problems so they can visually see the mathamatical problem. If its science I try to make 3D projects so they can better understand, for example the solar system. I worked as a substitute teacher for a charter high school in St. Louis, MO directly out of undergrad. I taught most subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, History and Language Arts.
