A Little Bit About Me...

I am taking a class in my Master's program in which I have learned six different educational methods to use with students. Each method is different, and I have been able to learn and work through each of them. I am confident in my ability to concentrate learning through cooperative groups, presentations, direct instructions, problem based and discovery topics, concept lessons, and disscusions. I have also been taught in each lesson how to edit the lesson for English Language Learners, gifted students, and students who need more support. I believe that each child learns in their own unique way. A Little Bit About Me...

As a high school German exchange student and subsequent German major, I have more than textbook knowledge of the German language. My fluency comes from real-world interactions as well as attending a German high school. I taught courses at the University of Richmond for students of German wishing to practice their language skills, yet whose competency may not have been to the standard for a traditional literature class. Furthermore, I received an International Baccalaureate Diploma with high marks for my high school subjects (concentrations in Music History and Theory, German Language, English Literature, and European History). The IB program is more rigorous than many college programs, and with this experience, I feel that I would be qualified to tutor any student in high school courses.
