I utilize elements of each of the five teaching styles; however, I prefer the I Do, We Do, You Do style of learning. I firmly believe in providing clear instruction and demonstration of each concept. Then, the student and I work together to master a concept. After that, I provide the student an opportunity to practice and demonstrate his/her mastery of the material in a variety of situations. I start by asking the students to tell me exactly what is it that they not understand and start from there. I then like to work backwards from that point to find where they got lost. I also use everyday concepts to give similiar scenarios to get them on the right track. I find pleasure in seeing their faces light up once they come to understand the subject matter.
