My comments on tutoring Poetry : My favorite end-of-the-year project. Students creatively put together bound booklets with different types of poetry they learned. I make poetry a lot of fun!

I have worked with children in a variety of settings and ages over the past 25 years: church camp counselor, gymnastics coach, dance instructor, theater, forensics judge, tutor, and classroom teacher. These experiences have both shaped my style of teaching and equipped me with a broad range of skills needed to connect with, instruct, and inspire children. I’ve worked for an elementary MPS school, an elementary Charter School, a suburban Middle School, and a Catholic school system. A Little Bit About Me...

I was an exceptionally driven high school student, taking the most difficult schedule my small private school would offer. My course work included AP calculus and AP US government, on both exams I received good marks. In college I studied a wide variety of classes in pursuit of a degree in the liberal arts. My main foci were history, foreign languages and English literature and grammar while maintaining a love for the sciences and mathematics. A Little Bit About Me...

I spent most of my undergraduate degree focused on learning advanced mathematics. While it was extremely challenging, I enjoyed it more than any other education experience. My love of math was echoed in my love for literature and writing. Although English was less challenging for me, the creative freedom made it worthwhile.
