My teaching style is a combination of the Demonstrator Model and the Facilatative Model. I start with establishing a logical prototype for how to think and approach problems, then I oversee, guide and direct by showing how to do things. Once the student has a basis of understanding, (s)he is encouraged to emulate my approach. I then move into the facilitative style and focus on guiding and directing by asking questions, exploring options, suggesting alternatives and encouraging growth and development of criteria to make informed choices. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications Arts, which gives me the ability to master communicating with others and furthermore - teaching others. I have worked at an after school program and as a babysitter for a total of 5 years so I am experienced at tutoring. I worked as a choreographer for 5 years as well - which shows my teaching experience and dance experience.
I love teaching and watching children succeed. All children learn differently, which is why I alter my teaching techniques based on their learning methods. I figure out what suits them best and than use that method to teach them. In my opinion this achieves a high success rate.
