Worked in Corporate Accounting for 32 years, primarily at Detroit Diesel Corporation. Over career, worked in most areas of accounting and finance. Also, while at Detroit Diesel, the business was changed ownership so that experience included three different corporate structures and management styles: General Motors, Penske Corporation, and Daimler. Experience also included extensive work with domestic and foreign subsidiaries requiring consolidations, foreign exchange, and dealing with multiple accounting practices.

I was inspired to pursue mathematics-related work by my eighth grade algebra teacher. An honors math student in high school and college, I decided to pursue a career where I could utilize my analytical and quantitative skills: finance. I enjoy teaching groups as well as one on one sessions. I believe teaching in a group can be exceptionally helpful as children have the opportunity to not only learn from their designated teacher but also from each other.
