I love teaching in a hands on style in which the student not only has an algorithm of how to solve a specific problem, but has a thorough understanding of the concepts behind the algorithm. I enjoy having analogies or hands-on activities to demonstrate the concepts. I believe that many times people understand the basic concepts from physics in their daily life, but are frightened by equations. Using analogies or hands-on examples initially reinforces their knowledge and increases their confidence which decreases the fear of equations. Besides reduces fear, it improves their ability to share complex concepts with others in simpler terms.

During my research-based M.Sc. study in Microbiology, I TA'ed three undergraduate courses (General Biology & Introduction to Microbiology). Over the years, I have become more aware of myself so that I can learn more efficiently. I scored well on my ACT (33) and my GRE (the grad school equivalent of the SAT - 690 for verbal, 740 for quantitative), and was able to attend well-regarded schools for my scientific training.
